 The Road to Wiltz

Adapted from ASL Scenario P

History:
East of WILTZ, BELGIUM, 18 December 1944: The German offensive had surprised the Americans both in its size and intensity.
Desperately, the Americans formed scratch defenses to buy time so the key road junction of Bastogne could be reinforced. The
Germans had to be delayed or stopped as they drove along the roads to Bastogne. In the early hours, elements of the 44th Combat
Engineers, supported by fragments of the 707th Tank Battalion, took over the responsibility for the road leading to Wiltz from the
border with orders to hold for at least a day.

This is one of my favourite ASL scenarios. A bit of a monster and a race against time for the Germans exiting units from the north
of the map.

30+ squads and multiple AFV's.

Units Human Players (AI player units may vary)
German: Squads, LMG,HMG, AFV
American: Squads, LMG, MMG, AFV, OBA

Maps: ASL Map 3,4

Terrain: Hilly/Forest

Scenario Length: 14 Game Turns - variable

Better played as Germans
Victory objective: German units must exit from the top map edge. There are also VP for destroying enemy AFV's.
Hex 1,37 is unplayable/blocked because it is a roadblock
